Who are we?
I’m Kate Pasterfield, founder of Rapt Immersive, award-winning designer, and creative director with 20 years at the leading edge of learning innovation.
Previously, I co-founded Sponge, helping grow a five-person team into a 120-person strong learning agency before acquisition in 2019.
I’ve inspired global brands to take the brave steps that make a difference. From early virtual reality for Royal Mail, to immersive simulations with GSK, to data-rich, campaign-based learning with Tesco, I’ve helped companies like Lexus, Dyson, IKEA, AXA, Novo Nordisk and AstraZeneca design boldly, win awards, and evolve their learning year after year.
This thinking, and a love of emerging tech, shapes my ideas and is how I’ve won Learning Technologies Designer of the Year (2016), Learning Professional of the Year (2017), and helped Sponge become Learning Company of the Year — twice.
Rapt was born after a break from learning to explore immersive experience design, working with world-class studios on augmented, virtual and location-based experiences for Burberry, Louboutin, Meta, Pfizer, and Verizon.
My mission now is to fuse learning with the extraordinary power of emotive, immersive design and reshape an industry that must dare to inspire its people.
